For this Console table I have chosen contemporary as the design style.
Contemporary furniture often gets confused with modern furniture. It is minimal, appearing light, airy, and visually appealing.
smooth lustrous surfaces, with bold lines and contrasts will be used in this design. Black, white and neutrals are colours to focus on while choosing finishes.
CONSOLE TABLE
Requirments
A young couple has requested a console table to have at the front of their condo. They are open to various design styles and periods of furniture. Their only request is that it be unique to one of the architectural theories that they love. The requirements they have requested are:
The design of the furniture must represent one architectural theory
The footprint of the table is required to be 36” wide x 18” deep and 30” high.
The unit should have a minimum of two finishes and incorporate the use of metal.
The following storage components should be included:
o Wire management for cell phones or tablets.
o Open and closed storage (drawer/cabinets)
o A place to store or hang keys
o When the unit is not used, they would like the ability to conceal the keys, wires, phones, etc.
